After losing all momentum in the pre-lunch session, India, through Mohammed Siraj & Prasidh Krishna, displayed a great amount of grit, character, and determination as they bundled England out for 247. India's pace duo picked up four wickets apiece, as hosts failed to assert dominance despite being 109/1 at one moment on Day two of the Oval Test. Siraj was especially terrific and did not for one moment make the visitors feel the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
Siraj's lion-hearted effort has given the visitors a realistic chance of winning the Oval Test and level the series 2-2. Along with the veteran pacer, Prasidh also got his mojo after a slight altercation with Joe Root. The lanky pacer dismantled the hosts ' lower-order batters to put India in ascendancy. However, the job is only half done, as the visitors need to bat very well in the second innings to help set a challenging fourth innings target for England.

Over the four Tests, we have seen India let momentum slip away by either collapsing with the bat in hand or bowling poorly and allowing England batters to dominate, as it happened in the first Test.
India's openers start well, as England struggle to take regular wickets
Speaking about the visitors, they got off to a solid start as Yashasvi Jaiswal started things with a flurry of boundaries. India also quickly went on to take a lead without losing any wickets. England, who are a bowler short, failed to cash in on he chance created by the visitors, as Jaiswal was put down by Harry Brook. If the hosts are to get back into the game, then they will need to take wickets at regular intervals.
