Manjrekar’s Subtle Digs at Kohli Spark Fan Backlash
Taking this to social media, former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar took a cheeky dig at Virat Kohli, comparing the performance of Indian batters and highlighting their batting spirit in his tweet.
However, this tweet from Sanjay Manjrekar faced severe backlash from fans, who pointed out the irrelevance of dragging Virat Kohli into the conversation.
Manjrekar also took a dig at Virat Kohli on air when KL Rahul and Jaiswal were batting in the first innings. They deliberately left most of the deliveries outside off stump, and Manjrekar indirectly mocked Kohli for his known weakness in that area.
“So a lot of what you're seeing is being created by these two batters. And my hats off—there's another example of it we know of. A former batter would have gone after that delivery and got himself into trouble, but not these two. And that's why I believe.”
