South Africa have named their T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia, starting August 10. The tour will feature three T20 matches followed by three ODIs.
Aiden Markram will captain the T20I team, while Temba Bavuma, who got injured in the World Test Championship 2025 (WTC 2025) final against Australia, will lead the ODI side.
Aiden Markram missed the T20I tri-series in Zimbabwe but will be back in Australia to guide a squad that mixes experienced names with some fresh faces.

The T20I side features four spin options, namely Prenelan Subrayen, George Linde, Senuran Muthusamy and Nqaba Peter.
Pace options include the seasoned Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, while Nandre Burger and Kwena Maphaka also make the cut. Corbin Bosch is another promising all-round option who will be looking to make an impression.
The batting unit features the explosive Dewald Brevis, left-hander Ryan Rickelton, and Tristan Stubbs along with Markram, all of whom provide a blend of power and versatility. Rassie van der Dussen and Lhuan-dre Pretorius are also included.
Temba Bavuma will lead the ODI squad that features many familiar names but also includes a few exciting selections. Brevis and Pretorius, both yet to make their ODI debuts, will be looking to break into the playing XI during the three-match series.
Burger is making a comeback to the ODI squad, having worked his way back to full fitness. Rabada and Ngidi lead the fast-bowling unit.
Tony de Zorzi, Matthew Breetzke, Wiaan Mulder and Keshav Maharaj are also part of the ODI squad.
While most of South Africa’s top players have been included, two major names will be missing from the tour. David Miller, currently on a hybrid CSA contract, is committed to playing for Welsh Fire in The Hundred and won’t be part of either squad. Marco Jansen has been rested from the tour.
