Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will reach Dubai on September 4, a few days before the Asia Cup 2025 begins on September 9. Their first practice session has been fixed for September 5 at the ICC Academy.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a change in travel plans. Instead of gathering in Mumbai and flying out together, players have been asked to travel directly from their home cities to Dubai.

India will begin their campaign against UAE on September 10. They will face Pakistan on September 14. Their final group game will be against Oman on September 19.

Team India’s Travel Plans for Asia Cup 2025

A senior BCCI official confirmed that all players will be in Dubai by the evening of September 4.

"All the players will arrive in Dubai by September 4 evening and the first nets session will be held on September 5 at the ICC Academy. Factoring in the logistical convenience, the players will be allowed to fly in to Dubai from their respective cities," the official said as quoted to PTI.

He further explained the change in travel routine.

"Obviously, a few will travel from Mumbai but to ask some of the others to first come to Mumbai and then fly to Dubai doesn’t make sense. In any case, Dubai is a short duration flight compared to other international flights," he added.

Several squad members are still active in domestic cricket before they fly out. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana are currently playing for North Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinal against East Zone. Kuldeep Yadav is featuring for Central Zone against North East Zone.

Standby Players to Stay Back

The BCCI has also decided that the five standby players will not be travelling to Dubai. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, and Dhruv Jurel will remain in India and stay on standby in case they are required later.

When asked about this, the BCCI official clarified,

"No, the standby players will not be travelling with the main squad to Dubai."
