The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday, September 19, launched the official song for the upcoming Women's World Cup 2025 tournament, starting on September 30. Performed by prominent Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal, the song is quite energetic, with a superb blend of melody and emotion, aiming to unite fans across the globe. With the catchy lines like "Tarikita Tarikita Tarikiata Dhom" and the heartbeat-inspired "Dhak Dhak, we bring it home," the song captures the fire and dreams of every woman cricketer stepping to express her talent on the world stage.
The lyrics perfectly celebrates the determination and strength, honoring the flourishing legacy of women's cricket through the power of dreams and perseverance. The powerful lines - “Patthar pighlana hai, Ek naya itihas banana hai” (We have to melt stones and forge a new history) evoke an unbreakable spirit, power of dedication, grit, and determination against all odds.

All eyes on India as Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. keen to make whole nation proud
India, who are one of the favorites to win their maiden 50-over World Cup, will have full crowd support from the home fans. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will kick off their showpiece event against Sri Lanka on September 30. India, which had come close on two occasions to win the World Cup, this time will be eager to end the trophy drought.

They have a squad packed with exuberance of youth and solid experienced players. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is the most experienced player, having featured in four previous editions of the World Cup. The skipper has also been part of the finals in the 2017 edition and knows how to handle pressure. Alongside Kaur, the batting will revolve around Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma.
The World Cup 2025 will be held across DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam), and R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka). The ticket sales for the event have already begun, with an INR 100 starting price.
