England fast bowler Mark Wood has lavished praise on Jasprit Bumrah, calling him the best bowler in the world at present. India's spearhead yet again showed his class in the ongoing first Test match against England by picking three wickets on a batting-friendly surface in Leeds. On a surface where the rest of the bowlers struggled to hit the right lengths, the 31-year-old managed to extract bounce, swing, and seam the ball prodigiously.
Speaking during the second day of the first Anderson-Tendulkar Test, Wood warned English batters would face an enormous challenge dealing with the Indian pacer's sustained precision and deceptive pace.

"He's a phenomenal bowler in all formats and extremely dangerous. I can honestly say he's very difficult to pick and face. He's quicker than he looks. Right now, he's the best bowler in the world he's capable of changing the course of a match at any moment," Wood told Sky Sports.

Mark Wood vying to make a comeback in the fifth Test
Meanwhile, Wood, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, is aiming to be fully fit for the fifth and the last Test match. During BBC's Test Match Special, the pacer said he resumed training and is targeting to feature in the fifth Test.
Meanwhile, for India, yet again, Bumrah is delivering the goods with ball in hand. All three England wickets to fall on Day two were picked up by the premier pacer. However, he needs the rest of the pacers to step up if India harbors hopes of winning the Leeds Test.
