Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues shared a light-hearted video on social media where he could be seen eating bhelpuri off a newspaper featuring herself.
While enjoying a plate of bhelpuri, Rodrigues noticed something unusual about the newspaper used by the vendor to serve the food.
As she arrived at the stall, she found herself staring at a newspaper that had an article on her remarkable Test debut.

Jemimah Rodrigues Eats Bhelpuri Wrapped in Her Own News Article
In a hilarious video shared by Jemimah Rodrigues on Instagram that quickly went viral, she showed herself eating bhelpuri off a newspaper that had a headline of her fifty on Test debut versus England in 2023.
"This bhaiya doesn't know that I'm going to eat bhel in the same newspaper he's going to make it in," Rodrigues said as quoted in the video.
This is not a mere coincidence. It shows how much a cricketer becomes a part of everyday life in India.
Jemimah made her Test debut against England in December 2023. She scored 68 and 27 runs in the two innings, and took India to a 347-run win.
Jemimah Rodrigues’ Recent Performances
Rodrigues amassed 245 runs in four innings in the Women's Tri-Nation ODI Series 2025 in Sri Lanka.
She smashed a century against South Africa and scored an important 29-ball 44 in the tri-nation final versus Sri Lanka that India won by 97 runs to lift the trophy.
She will be next in action in the white-ball tour of England, starting June 28 with a five-match T20I series.
